How To Remove That Stinky Mildew Smell From Towels

After a few days of use, bathroom towels get that unpleasant, wet odor, which is removed only during the washing process. Because of their contact with water residues, dead cells and mold, bath towels get a nasty look and smell.
To eliminate the unpleasant smell of the towel, it’s not necessary to buy scented products such as expensive laundry softeners.

Sometimes they can worsen the smell and, due to their aggressive chemical content, they are environmentally harmful and can cause respiratory allergies. The most convenient and safe solution is natural cleaning products.

White vinegar and baking soda

This cleaning solution made with white vinegar and baking soda is one of the best alternatives to eliminate the unpleasant smell of the towel. This blend, easily penetrates into fabrics and helps to remove dirt. In addition, its antifungal eliminating bacteria, mold and micro-organisms that can cause powerful infections and bad smells. It also has an effect that replaces conventional fabric softeners.

Ingredients:

– hot water
– 1 cup white vinegar (250 ml)
– ½ cup of baking soda (100 g)

Put the towels in the washing machine and cover them with hot water. Then add white vinegar and start the washing cycle. After the cycle has ended, put the towels again in the washing machine, cover it with water, and add baking soda. Start washing cycle again.

This way you will get rid of that bad wet towel odor.
