Sweat stains on clothes are a real challenge for any housewife. To remove them you don’t need the most expensive cleaning solutions just prepare your own solution to remove them easily. I tried the following, so called cleaning tricks, and they worked like magic. My white T-shirts turn to be yellowish under the arm, but I restore their color, not to mention about the smell.
1. Prevent sweat stains
The areas that are more prone to sweat, such as the underarm area, should be periodically sprinkled with lemon juice. The same solution can be used to remove fresh sweat stains.
2. Sweat stains on cotton clothes
Just use aspirin, and not to treat your headache, just crush 2 aspirin tablets and add half a cup of water over them, and apply the solution over those yellow sweat stains. Let it act for half an hour, and wash the clothing item as usual.
3. Yellow sweat stains on white shirts
You need:
– dish detergent
– hydrogen peroxide
– baking soda
Mix one part of dish detergent with 2 parts hydrogen peroxide and 1 teaspoon of baking soda to form a paste. Apply the resulting paste over the yellowish stains and let it act for 1 hour. Wash the shirts as usual.
4. Sweat stain on silk
Silk is a pretentious fabric, and to remove sweat stains from it you need to mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with half a cup of water. Then use a sponge and dab the area slightly, and rinse with warm water at the end.
5. Sweat stain on collars
These are the most difficult to remove stains, at least they were, because vodka is the new natural way to remove stains. Russians definitely know how to use vodka to get rid of stains.
So, mix equal parts of vodka and water, pour it a spray bottle, and apply slowly over the stained collars. Let it act for several minutes, and then wash the shirt as usual.
You will definitely be surprised like I am.
